Distribution of OPTRIS Products
OPTRIS manufactures a range of products suitable for various applications.
The criteria for selecting the right equipment include:
- The surface to be inspected
- The temperature range
- The speed of the process
- The distance and size of the object
The surface of the object (emissivity) or the environment in which the object is observed will determine the wavelength to capture and help select equipment based on its spectral range.
For instance, wavelengths visible to the human eye range from 0.4 to 0.78 µm.
Infrared wavelengths range from 0.78 to 14 µm, and there are various equipment options covering different segments of this spectrum.
The equipment is also designed to observe specific temperature ranges, so the range to be observed and the equipment's environment will determine the appropriate model.
For monitoring fast industrial processes, some equipment offers refresh rates up to 1000 Hz, allowing for 1000 acquisitions per second.
Finally, the size and distance of the area to be observed should dictate the resolution of the equipment and the lens to select for an infrared camera.
Whether for producing thermal images or monitoring a production process, OPTRIS offers a range of products to meet your needs.

Very Small Sensor
Compact Series
-Extremely small sensor, easy to install in tight spaces
-Aiming assistance with an LED
-Economical model, offering excellent value for money
High-Performance Series
Video Series
-Provides real-time visualisation of the process, which can be used as a standard video signal in addition to the usual output signals (0-20 mA, 4-20 mA, 0-5V, 0-10V, and thermocouple).
-Alignment can be done using the laser sighting system or directly with the video signal.
Features Found in Each Series
Models:
-CS: Single-piece sensor with smart LED display. Available in standard or micro versions. The micro version has a shorter rigid part, making it suitable for tight spaces. However, the CS model's control interface is limited to USB port.
- CT: Two-piece sensor with separate electronic housing. CT models generally have a faster response time compared to CS models. The electronic housing allows for a broader range of interfaces, including USB, RS485, Profibus, and Ethernet.
Maximum Operating Temperature without Cooling Chamber:
-The maximum temperature for electronic components ranges from 70 to 85°C, depending on the model.
-The maximum temperature for the measurement head ranges from 70 to 250°C, depending on the model.
Spectral Range of Observed Materials Based on Sensor Type:
-LT Type: Non-metallic surfaces (8 to 14 µm)
-3M Type: Liquid metals (2.3 µm)
-2M Type: Liquid metals (1.6 µm)
-1M Type: Liquid metals (1 µm)
-0.5M Type: Liquid metals (0.525 µm)
-G5 Type: Glass surfaces (5 µm)
-P3 Type: Thin plastic materials (3.43 µm)
-P7 Type: Plastic film (7.9 µm)
-MT Type: Through flames (3.9 µm)
-F2 Type: CO2 in combustion (4.24 µm)
-F6 Type: CO in combustion (4.64 µm
